Tracking Down Tisha and Navigating Ocean Avenue
The quest begins as you set out to locate Tisha in the Thalia apartment complex located within the Ocean Avenue zone. Navigating through the area requires caution, as narrow alleys and apartment corridors often hide aggressive undead variants. Keeping up with daily gaming news can provide additional insights into effective character builds and weapon loadouts for late-game story missions.
After reaching Tisha, she directs you toward finding Dr. Reed's secret facility using a photographic clue. Players must locate Service Entry 7, which can be found near a parked ambulance and a news van in the alleyways.
Bypassing the Maglock Security System
Once you arrive at Service Entry 7, Tisha uses the radio to help raise the security gate so you can step inside. However, entry triggers an immediate encounter with dangerous Hazmat Walkers and a Screamer that must be dealt with quickly. Focusing on the Screamer first prevents it from attracting additional waves of infected to your position.
To open the sealed maglocked door at the rear of the room, you must destroy three individual power panels scattered around the environment. One panel is hidden behind wooden crates in a raised corner, while the others are attached to nearby walls. Breaking all three panels cuts power to the lock, granting access to the corridor leading directly into the laboratory.
Investigating the Lab and Escaping
Inside Dr. Reed's lab, your goal shifts to investigating several key objects including a laptop, blood recorder, and sKOpe terminal. Interacting with the Blood Drive laptop triggers a cutscene that causes a contained corpse to mutate and break free. Defeating this powerful boss requires utilizing Fury Mode and elementally modded weapons to maximize damage output.
After clearing the lab encounter, you must head to the nearby sKOpe store to restore server power and complete the remaining communications. Once all objectives are wrapped up, returning toward the Serling Hotel reveals new plot developments that push the story into its final act.
